„before the fuck“ is an ongoing series of digital stills taken from porn sites and chat pages in that particular moment, when the user / actor leaves the room and us with that distinctive feeling of loneliness and bleak despair. It is a look inside the sadness and harshness of modern day sexuality when confronted with ‚the market‘.

The original picture was photographed at a shopping mall (Rathaus-Center Pankow) in Berlin. This empty playground area says it all for me: here you can store your kids whilst going shopping, the cold solitude of modern day consumerism, the emptiness of our post-modern world starts to take its toll. Soon it will fill ours heats and minds, leaving a gaping void that cannot be filled with goods any more… So let us shop while we still can.

- 2nd grade: found glitch, adapted, edited or changed
- 3rd grade: induced glitch, no derivation, no editing
- 4th grade: induced glitch, adapted, edited or changed
- 5th grade (maybe over the top): 4th grade reglitched

Seit frühchristlicher Zeit begleiten in der abendländischen Welt Szenarien vom Ende der Welt und dem sich anschließenden neuen Reich die Vorstellungen vom menschlichen Dasein. Wesentliche Inspirationsquelle war hierfür die Offenbarung des Johannes.
Weltuntergangsphantasien und ihre bildlichen Darstellungen waren in allen geschichtlichen und kunstgeschichtlichen Perioden aber auch Metaphern, die aus aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Zuständen heraus genährt wurden. Darin wurden Ängste artikuliert und in Bilder gebannt, es wurden aber auch Zukunftsvisionen entwickelt. (…weiterlesen)
